Table of Models of CNJ Diesel Locomotives               - updated end-Mar 2006

There are lots of plastic models of CNJ diesel locomotive prototypes and the rarer ones are available in brass. Many of those available in plastic are also available in brass, but these are not detailed here. Prices are given for basic models which may not include (indeed, usually don't) DCC ships or sound. Many are available through retailers and they can often be found through eBay at reduced (and higher!) prices. William Gripp has added some comments to update this page.

This table summarises all first generation diesel locomotives that may have been in operation before 1959. The classes are  grouped by appearance for modelling purposes. The photos are from eBay and other retailer sites. Prices given are the average (number of sales) and the range (minimum to maximum) over the last five years - not all examples have been included as I haven't been doing this continuously. Prices haven't changed much over this period. Updated December 2009.
